Sterling Silver on Wooden base Modern art Rose?

Not sure what this was made for... 11 1/2" tall Statue? Modern Art? Award? Rose? Flower? Originally had a plaque afixed to the front I am not guaranteeing whether or not the Sterling statue on the top of the wooden block is solid sterling silver or if it is a cast or another material. All I can say is this is definitely a one-of-a-kind piece. It does show some age to it with some blemishes on the wooden block as shown in the photos. But other than that, it is excellent
