@ally_marc that doesnt matter dear heart our new closets are just as important to us as our elder closets BIG or SMALL we all matter its the reason we creating the power poshers group we look to make sure the people we are sharing are sharing others.... the number of followers one has doesnt mean they are a better posher .... we simply want to drive as much traffic to everyone equally from baby items to lux items as it can be really tough for them too and we know that ...

@ally_marc however I am very very very appreciative of the lux gals they helped me out tremendously while we were still doing business as jeanfinder, before we were hacked and before we became 2 closets so I do tend to share from them a bit more because I owe alot to them they also dealt with more serious transaction and always helped me with any questions I had along the way

@ally_marc I hated the customer service for a long time but I heard something in one of the meetings and it made since a community with guidelines in an informed group.... a group that is informed then become a community only by helping each other with questions problems etc....

@fccandles I will agree it doesnt leave one to much choice to reach out and the gray areas and generic irrelevant email when you finally after waiting for 24-48 that do not pertain to anything that you asked as a new comer I wouldnt feel good about it thats for certain alot of the other discussions were the shipping they now allow us to use the flat rate envelopes however poshmark reeps the benigits of that not us or our customers so as we are giving addl discounts to counteract the cost & the

I had sent her a bunch of free items she wanted to trade her free items back in for more items hubby was like NO mind you I sent her a pair of nwts miss mes and a like new pair of rick revivals I thought we were friends and told me her house had burnt down.....

I have Posh send sales balances by check to see how long it takes- they are doing a super job-checks get here within 4-5 days! Also, it would be nice to have a ‘ just browsing/hold’ button. I am so confused by OTL vs sending out private offer one by one, yet some buyers see it as pushy (didn’t realize it wasn’t the norm). Need a place to store the things I am interested it, so that both parties can manage expectations. Thanks for your hard work.

@fashionportal I'm sorry to jump in, I hope you don't mind! I happened to see your question. OTL means you extend a price to everyone that liked your item. Sending an individual offer is done thru the bundle feature. You can offer whatever price you like in the bundle feature, and do not HAVE to give a shipping discount.

@denimcrush Very interesting! I'm quite curious as to what criteria will be used, and in what areas. For instance, when someone asks a question about an item, and an answer is given, and no response or acknowledgement of that answer, it is quite annoying, I think. Is this the type of responding/engagement you are referring to? I do hope that whatever the "standards" are going to be that the subject is made plain and simple to all. I've always been somewhat put off by references to metrics...

I think that one inflexible shipping rate is hurting such sales as jewelry. Shoppers do not want to pay $8 for pair of earrings, especially if they cost $8 or less. Paying in shipping same cost of the price or even more just such a party pooper.

@denimcrush And not everyone wants to bundle, sometimes there is nothing else that interests buyer. The weight of earrings in the bubble bag can be as little as 2-4oz. A lot of this kind of sales never happened because of high shipping rate.

@denimcrush And not everyone can afford to pay partially for shipping. Selling something fo $8, then loosing high, almost 38% commission of $3, then another $2 in discounted shipping!! After spending time and supplies on wrapping and gas on driving to post office, there is nothing left. Actually seller is negative, she actually spent money to sell those earrings!

@denimmunkies ok, I know other sites offer as low shipping rates as $3.50 for weights under 5oz, and that makes big difference in the decision to buy. This platform never offered low rate like that to see if it will make the impact. Oh well, thank you for responding to my question, 🙂

@maidmarian i dont know about u i just had to deal with this..and im sorry PM..did not stand up for me..it was a private sale and it was past 3 hr window and she then tried to claim accidentally purchase after receiving it and opened it..im very happy with the most part..but everyone needs to know the rules. and stand up for them..if u dont know then it is your fault not the seller..

@maidmarian quite honestly if you ship the item and posh can verified that you have actually shipped, they will simply order the buyer to return, at which point, if they do not, they will be charged, you are simply attempting, to do your very best, as promptly as possible, it will always be found in your favor as long as shipping label can be verified is not part of a private sale, trade as those are not protected

@maidmarian at no charge to you they even pay the return shipping label to get it back to you, however if its outside the 2 hour cancellation for accidental purchase, then pish will tell you to ship the item otherwise it will effect your Stats for shipping time & you dont want that rating to go down, when the situation was not due to your error!!!!!! they have 2 hours to cancel the sale, poshmark allows the addl hour so they can contact you in the event of a cancelled sale ...

I would love to see a convo about people price gouging. Poshmark is supposed to be a discount site and it’s frustrating shopping for things that people mark up higher than the original price because of Poshmark fees. It feels dishonest.

@ddancingdiva I have actually reached out to posh on this and they said that each seller has the right to price their items as they wish, there are certain types of items they will not tolerate but it is very few and far in between.... we reached out actually and requested the assurance that this would not happen with the PPE ... which was addressed sitewide

@denimcrush Thanks for sharing! It's interesting to read some of the input from other Poshers. I joined in 2017. A skirt I bought in Feb 2020 (first purchase) is what made me ACTIVE on the site. There are a number of things I would suggest. It's too bad surveys are an exclusive percentage of participants. Smaller shipping options would be stellar for those of us in the accessory business. The cost to ship such a small item really sabotages sale.

@l_m_conte yes we have tried that was the 3rd down on the list, the sad thing as much as I hate to admit this, but it is true, after speaking with out postmaster, and after looking over our, postage label with me, he explained Posh does actually have a commercial agreement, with USPS however that savings doesnt come back to us, poshmark then uses the remaining amount left based on the weight of ones item to go into an account, which then covers, the expence of the items shipped that are over

@l_m_conte overweight, while I do not agree with this, for those of us, that do go by the rules.... I will admit after finding this out last week my shipping scale will go back to the attic..... We gain no benifit, and I am sorry but we shouldnt be forced to ship for higher amounts, only to go back into posh, they already keep the change on all our transaction, supposedly for addl fees, give aways, and addl expence, but when do we get to have those benifits passed on to us as we accommodate

A good friend of mine 'gave up' due to inactive profiles. I do agree it's so frustrating to fall in love with an item yet have ZERO communication after repeated attempts to contact a seller. Her suggestion was to temporarily suspend inactive accounts after so many days. Again this is just analytics and algorithms.

@l_m_conte we couldnt agree with you more!!!!! that would be great I just yesterday was talking with a previous shopper she had purchased a pair of jeans, from someone on the 17th the young lady hadnt responded to her about shipping update since.....my shopper had no idea she could cancel the sale, I hate to close a sale on anyone but I even reached out to the seller who responded within a few minutes to me ...the shopper reached out 5 times SMH...

Ya know, when it works poshers love it and keep investing more time and energy by listing more product. When it doesn't work, regaining consumer trust is much more challenging.

@denimmunkies That was my second purchase experience on Poshmark. I do like when reviews or stars are made public. This informs the buyer on whether or not to engage in a sale. Poshmark goes out of their way to "train" sellers on dos & don'ts but it seems some poshers are bypassing this valuable information. I will say that I have spotted a generational trend in this false advertising. I like to give the benifit of the doubt so I start a conversation with the seller, then make a decision.

actually the only love reviews any of us can see are the 5 stars on poshmark, otherwise they are kept private, I was speaking more along the lines of the users leaving them, there are alot of bot companies that use the love notes to target recent customers as they see they are actual buyers you as the seller will be able to see your into however everyone else will just see the note
