I am in full support of the protests. I’ve been having trouble finding any, or the right words. I’m so angry about all of this. I can’t wrap my brain around the trauma and the suffering. I can never truly imagine what it’s like to be black in America, to live the experience of oppression and the trauma that comes with it. But I see you, I hear you, and I BELIEVE you, I will do my absolute best to protect you. My heart is with you. I will not support racism. I want OUR children to have better.

frankiemom @pretyposhmchne Everything you said is how I feel. When I lived in LA(CA). I came home from work in my dress & heels and this young (13?) black kid walked up to me in my driveway carrying a bin. The 1st words out of his mouth "Don't be afraid, I won't hurt you" it blew my mind. Why would I be afraid of a kid? It broke my heart. That is the reality in Black America and it is sad & wrong and hopefully the current events will be the catalyst to change!🐚🌺

The point of saying “Black Lives Matter” and it’s movement isn't to suggest that black lives are more important than all other lives. Its pointing out that black people's lives are severely undervalued in the United States, and all over the world.

pretyposhmchne @steve4art @cmw430 continuing- Black lives are more likely to be ended by police, and we all need to recognize that inequity and to bring an end to it. I guess a better way to understand this is looking at the phrase as “black lives matter-too.” So yeah, all lives do matter, obviously, but it’s one subset of lives that’s currently undervalued in America, and all over the damn world.
