@vintage2classic End of day pieces are created from whatever bits were literally left over at the end of a day. Think of it as a "last run" piece. Talk about swirls! They're typically 4 or more colors, very distinct from one another, vs "marble" patterns like the one here. Beautiful. Rare. Expensive.😩 I haven't seen a true "end of day" in the wild in years & years.

@vintage2classic I was trying to find a primo end of day example for you online but no luck bc it seems ppl are either confused or outright dishonest, claiming any piece more than 1 color is end of day. 🙄😤 Not he case. I’m not expert but have been researching & collecting Bakelite since HS (so, decades). Now I’m annoyed at “rare” listings that really aren’t. 😂If I come across anything great/true I’ll post a pic for you!

@eastsidesusan If I ever have questions, I know who to come to. Actually, are you familiar with trading beads that resemble amber but are phenol something resin. I have but they don't smell like bakelite.

@vintage2classic Oh man, trade beads are not my thing. (I only know what I know about things I personally like & have collected/researched over years. Bakelite, mourning pieces, pretty good w/ Edwardian & Deco) Could they be celluloid? (Do they have any smell?) Vintage lucite sometimes throws me for a loop but that has zero smell. Sorry! But now you have my wheels turning! I will lose sleep, no joke, turning over the mental database...
