@cabinandsea Hi, it is basically a pour over coffee filter. The filter is put on top of its cup or any other you would like to brew into (It also fits on any wide mouth mason jar), add a few tablespoons ground coffee,

place internal filter on top of coffee, slowly add water at first to allow absorption by the grounds, then add the rest of water, cover and let brew:) It is the predecessor to the Vietnamese pour over coffee filter that is common at Vietnamese restaurants. I think it originated in Belgium. The only difference being the Vietnamese coffee inner filters screw down tightly and the ground is fine.

@cabinandsea Hi, yes, I have another that I use often. The taste depends on the coffee and the grind used. It is possible to make delicious coffee with it.
