Does this shirt fit like a medium?

I measured the shirt buttoned up and flat from armpit to armpit is 20". I tried on and it fits me but depending on cut and brand I wear a small or medium. I have a broader back and 34A chest. I have a blue striped croft and barrow which is a small with stretch and measures 19" across. That one on me is a little more fitted. Hope this helps. :D
