I get messages from lululemon shoppers ALL THE TIME asking me about buying fake aligns (or Lululemon items in general) and mystery boxes. Therefore I decided to make this post for anyone who is considering any of these two options in general. This is my own personal opinion. I’ve been buying/selling lululemon for the past 3-4 years now so just thought I’d offer my two cents for anyone who is looking to build their collection as well!

ngocnguyen1994 @cmauigirl I focus more on aligns because that’s kinda my area of speciality when it comes to lululemon (that’s why I have very clear comparison pics between real and fake aligns). But there are fakes made in almost every lulu item!!

ngocnguyen1994 @ekstrong they copied the original lululemon tags (only for older items though) - the ones I labeled as fake have very obvious spelling errors/typos and uses a completely different font than an older lululemon tag!

kingcounty20220 I have bought a fake and the quality was really bad. I have a question, I have looked at the Lulu logo on two different pants and sizes and they match. I bought a friend all the right places pant size 4 and my aunt fast and free size 14. I have noticed the Lululemon logo on the pants are the same size. My question is on the fake you have pictures does it match the size of a real Lululemon logo? Also how do you tell a fake size button from a real one thanks

ngocnguyen1994 @kingcounty20220 I’ve never bought a fake myself so I can’t be sure about the size of the logo but the logo is “skinner”! One of my friends accidentally bought a fake from posh and showed it to me but she was granted a return so I didn’t compare the logos! As for your last question about the size dot, I’m tagging you in my post so you can see!

madelynsweepe thank you for posting this!! i’ve called people out for selling fake lulu (i’m like you and know what to look for) and they claim they’ve worked at Lululemon and that they’re items aren’t fake!! so unfortunate that there are scammers out there taking advantage of uninformed or misinformed people!!

ngocnguyen1994 @buttonandthread a couple things wrong with that posting right off the bat. The jacket is the Down for it all jacket (I believe possibly in the color dark adobe). But the tag that’s on it (attached wrongly btw - because it should’ve been attached at the zipper of the front pocket if it was the correct tag), is for a define hooded jacket nulu in the color ICMI which is incognito camo. So obviously NOT the color of the jacket listed.

ngocnguyen1994 @buttonandthread I honestly think the seller is trying to pass off a jacket that’s been used as NWT with that tag... because the jacket doesn’t match the tag. The tag placement is wrong - everything is wrong. So yes you’re right about it looking shady - you have a great eye!

It’s like....so crazy to try to pass it off as a define jacket- let alone like....wrong in every way!

ngocnguyen1994 @buttonandthread I totally agree with you! Very wrong! 😔😔 If she didn’t know the style of the jacket, that would be ok. But it does seem like she purposefully put a completely different tag from another lulu item (in the wrong place since lulu doesn’t place their tags there) in order to try and sell it for full price (I remember buying the same jacket for sale about a year ago). It seems like she’s purposefully misleading buyers which is not ok!

ashleyjames9075 @ngocnguyen1994 I have been a long time lululemon lover and I don’t mean to sound insensitive but people who know and love lululemon know it’s easy to spot a fake so i really don’t feel bad when someone buys a pair of fakes because they are cheap.. most people aren’t selling brand new aligns for $30 & $40... if they never bought them before that’s different but people who know, KNOW.

Lol, but it’s the sellers passing off fakes as real that gets to me. And a lot of times it’s younger teenage girls or new lulu buyers that they target. They don’t even sell for cheap - just around the same price as real but discounted. So people fall for it :/

ngocnguyen1994 @normariv65 yeah it’s the spacing and the font! You should check with your other lululemon items to see for sure - I think side by side you can see the difference better. But yes, the size dot is a fake one!

ngocnguyen1994 @normariv65 yes I know :/ they copied the usual size dot (I’m pretty sure that’s why lulu has the newer size dots now). But another way to tell is looking at the logo in the back of the leggings... is it skinnier? You can compare with another pair of aligns to check for sure! The fabric is also completely different!

I’m helping people figure that out especially buying second hand on posh and other selling websites since scams happen - if you don’t think it applies to you and you want to buy fake lululemon, that’s your prerogative (like I already wrote in the post above). Doesn’t matter to me either way!

casiwinstead User alex43us9 is attempting to sell all fake lululemon leggings. Please beware. I saw your post which helped me to recognize this. I reported them and told the seller if they want to sell fake lulus then they must advertise them just so. I doubt they will have the decency to do this unfortunately.

martamaz Thank you for this post. Unfortunately, I just became a victim of a fake lululemon mystery box. In hopes of building my closet while saving time on sourcing, I got really excited, didn't wait for the seller to respond before I made the purchase. It made me sick once I inspected the items. I reached out to poshmark support, but like you said, I may not be able to get a refund. Thankfully the other 2 boxes I ordered were beautiful with great communication!. Have a great night! 😊

b_fuhr We are very good at identifying fake tags even if they look real. So if you are trying to by and return the item, we can tell. With that knowledge, employees who are familiar with the fakes can help you identify! If someone came in my store I would be happy to look at pictures and give my input. We can also read the size dots. So when it’s a random order of letters and numbers that we can’t read, we know it’s fake.
