May I ask what is special about her that you are asking $500? Most of the time these dolls are selling for $60 on EBay. Is she a Brownette or Japanese Exclusive (just because it says Japan on her foot doesn’t mean she is a Japanese Exclusive)? Do you have the original box or hand tag? I am looking for a brownette but with the lighting she doesn’t look like it.

@ericakuntz725 What makes her so special is that she was indeed made the year it says she was and I know this as a fact because I was given her on my second birthday. I am now 62 years old. She is an original. No I do not have her box anymore but I still feel she is in excellent condition and no one says you have to pay The $500.

@ericakuntz725 By the way if you read closely, the ones on E Bay for $60 Are reproductions.

@mybabymia1 Well, thank you. The crazy thing is I never played with her. I liked Tonka trucks. My older sisters played with theirs. She sat on a shelf. I had 6 brothers that let me use their Tonka payloaders and haulrs to make roads and swimming pools for my sisters Barbies. Lol It drove my Mom crazy. Hope you have a wonderful night. La Veta

@greenmouserlav Love your response! Right there with ya sista! I have the same doll I received at age 2 while my Dad was stationed in Okinawa. It was a big deal to receive such a gift and I remember it well. I cherished that doll and took excellent care of her. She's safely stored in the safe with the original Midge, Slipper, Ken, and the first Bendable Barbie.🥂😉

@debnews09 Thank you! You know what's crazy? I've actually lowered the price quite a lot and people still think I should just hand it over like they are buying it at a garage sale. She is in PRISTINE CONDITION! I might raise the darn price back up just to annoy that first responder. Lol Have a GOOD day.

Bubble cut Barbie wasn’t produced until 1961. The date on her bum is the year the body mold was manufactured.

She’s a beautiful doll! Her face is perfect… I paid 300. For the Barbie with open and close eyes about 10 years ago. I would keep the price, she’s worth it!

I have collected vintage Barbies for at least 10 years and I have at least 400 of them. The price is very high for a Bubblecut. I haven’t paid more than $100 for a Bubblecut ever and most I paid an average of $60. But she is for sure worth so much more to you emotionally! I do get that. Just wanted to give you my insight.
