Authentic vs. inauthentic Rouje Labels

The first four labels are authentic pieces, the last one is one I believe to be a fake that someone is selling on here. Beware and always ask for a material tag before buying, if it was cut off due to being itchy, that’s a red flag... the fonts are also different in the label. I just don’t want anyone getting scammed!

This is very helpful, thank you! I bought a fake pair of shorts off of Posh before I knew that people knocked Rouje off but luckily I actually had an authentic pair of the same shorts and was able to tell that something was off. The missing care tag is super sketch!!

Yes this is so true! I noticed this after buying two Rouje pieces from Poshmark after comparing my own personal purchases from store. Very disappointing indeed!

Wow it’s so close! The A in Paris sort of gives it away. Thanks for posting!

I wanted to pass on a new bit of info about Rouje Jeans. The materials tag was an image of a active QR code that has a Capital R in the center. If you scan it with your iPhone’s camera it takes you straight to the Rouje website’s ALL ABOUT DENIM page. Found it in the Odeon jeans I got last May 2021. I ordered a new pair of jeans in a different cut (11/21) so I will update when I take a look at the new pair’s tag later.

The jeans I ordered came and the label is also a QR code.

Do the fake items say rouje.com on the care label? Thanks!

I can barely tell the difference from the last one compared to
Others. How can you spot the difference?

@mollyp0ps if you look at the “A” in Paris on the label of the authentic items, you can see that Rouje uses a very distinct font. The fakes never have this.

This is so helpful! Do you have an Instagram? I just bought a dress that is labeled as "rouje" but I am questioning its authenticity. I would love a second opinion if you wouldn't mind me sending you some pictures!

@mme621 check this out, and also check out care tags, Rouje care tags are usually made out of satin or cotton fabric. If the material is paper-like it is most likely a counterfeit. Fakes sometimes have typos as well. Unfortunately it seems like dupes are inevitable, but I do believe they must be advertised and priced accordingly to what they are and not like genuine pieces, so hopefully this helps.

I seriously can't tell the difference by the tags. thanks for the suggestion to insist on seeing the materials tab.

Good catch! The “Rouje” looks very similar, but if you check the “PARIS” fonts, they appear to be very different! I would have never thought to look before, so thank you.
