Do you think the outer pocket would hold an iPhone?

@hannalamp I don't think the modern ones would fit. I measured from the top of the snap closer and it's about 5 inches (but the inside more likely 4.75). It's 3 in across. The litter s4 or 5 probably would.

the pocket would be OK for a cosmetic or tissue pack or miscellaneous item that wouldn't fall thru the space
