brilldelights @lasknickknacks YES!! So I can tell you we have been buying directly from BJs distributor for a long time, I had written that in my listings about 6 months after I joined posh. A month or so later a woman reached out to me and told me her story, same as YOU...then asked me if I could look at what she bought. I did, she was so upset. I think she bought 50 or 100 pieces wholesale and said she was taking the unfortunate loss 😤

brilldelights @lasknickknacks .... so fast forward to about 6 months ago, I start seeing a TROVE of “BETSEY JOHNSON” jewelry on here, merc*ari, etc. no bar codes, no white tags with pink Betsey signature....she changed from that pink cheetah tag long ago. Posh is inundated with them, I KNOW these people know they are selling fakes. I applaud you for what you are doing...I am SO SORRY that happened to you 😢😢😢

brilldelights @lasknickknacks I think what you did is commendable 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 but...I’m not surprised. You’re not a swindler or someone who’s taking advantage of buyers. The people this is directed towards, they know they are selling fakes. They just don’t want to get stuck with it. Instead of doing the right thing like you did they’re unloading it onto buyers and scamming them. It’s as bad as any other replica 👿👿👿 It’s also a PSA ♥️

brilldelights @evmassie Hi.... happy Sunday ☀️ Not that I’ve seen in recent years ... when I was a teenager (I grew up in NYC) the counterfeits were crazy ... kinda like the last year until there was a GINORMOUS bust in lower Manhattan. Back then they were duping everything and anything. Haven’t run across any fake Betsey other then the jewelry, but I have heard of lululemon dupes so I don’t put it past anyone 😤😤😤

handbaggirl @evmassie I’ve seen a ton of fake handbags. They are usually the high end named brands like Gucci, Louis Vuitton, and, Fendi. They will sell them for under $500 so it doesn’t go to Poshmark to be authenticated. Sellers will usually take pics of the serial numbers, which all high end handbags have. That’s one way to know it’s not a fake. Also they will used the word authentic to confuse you into thinking it’s real and not a fake. Honestly I don’t know how Poshmark allows this.

brilldelights @handbaggirl This is just my PSA for Betsey Johnson jewelry. Most people do not realize or think that they make fake Betsey but it’s been sold in droves to unknowing buyers for years. I’m one of 8 Poshmark verified luxury resellers, so I do not take counterfeits lightly. I’ve been interviewed by Poshmark associates via zoom prior to getting selected and when I asked them what they were doing about the counterfeits they said “we have a plan going into action” that was almost 2 years ago.

Just because they got burned doesn’t mean they should unload them on unknowing buyers. It also makes it REALLY hard to sell authentic Betsey even at my prices which are always less then 50%. brilldelights @michelleangelys also there’s a lot of other ways if you don’t. The crystals are rhinestones and Betsey jewelry is never Mickey Mouse, hello kitty, etc. The chain on the necklace is another way to tell.
