Antique Victorian Snake Ring, Yellow Gold and Ruby

Item is a gorgeous antique Victorian snake ring. Yellow gold, stamped with "900." This unusual stamp indicates the item is 90% pure gold. Detailed beveling on the head and tail. Ruby on top of the snake's head. This ring has been in my family for decades. I remember admiring it in my grandmother's jewelry box from a very early age.
