@trendyhaks yup. he and his brother are both rescues. I also do donation drives for a local rescue. I can't foster any because this one is a brat, unlike his brother... he wasn't socialized at all. he was rescued from a pet hoarders house and he just...needed more help than most. but a friend of mine runs a non profit and she takes in aaaaaaall animals

@trendyhaks my first was a yorkie, and now I can't get enough. I would maybe find local rescues near you, and call them, or go by...offer help. get to know the people and how they work. help with food, or blankets. if they think you'll work well with them and you have the time snd resources, offer to foster. I couldn't foster because I just keep them. but there are a ton of ways rescues need help

@trendyhaks unfortunately more help is needed now because a ton of people took in pets when they were stuck at home and now they can't care for them. our neighbors just took in a great dane puppy because of people being selfish and wanting a "friend " for company, and then she got to 90lbs and they didn't want her anymore. I think she's 8 or 9 months old? I'm partial to older dogs, myself.... 4 plus years.

@trendyhaks you're supposed to keep them! I never understood that..."oh, they got big, I don't want it". they're your family. you made the decision to take them in. you make good on that promise. my mom spent $3,500, PLUS traveling fees from fl to NY to get a labradoodle. a mutt, basically. "designer dogs" are a scam, its a mutt. I sent her 15 different ones who were local, but weren't little puppies. she didn't even give them a chance.

@trendyhaks he doesn't fit with their lifestyle, he's too hyper, hates people, runs after all their neighbors dogs, and he is NOT friendly, or anything that they were looking for. they wanted to take it back but couldn't because they were already out almost 8 grand, and it was out of state. i never understood that. I never will.

I don't know how helpful i was. it really just depends on the rescue and your state/ county. but im glad you'll look into it! these guys need us, especially now, with people being so irresponsible, and bored. boredom tends to lead to cruelty, either inadvertently or purposely. im glad to have more people rooting for these little guys 🥰
