This is an extremely rare piece in excellent Antique Condition Dating on this is only approximate, but is likely 1830s-1870s Materials are Brass with Copper Accents The hinge and clasp are in excellent working order, clasp even clicks locked into place These pieces were used as snuff (tobacco) purses This articulated fish has an enormous amount of detail, the scales, fins, and tail are gorgeous Lining is original velvet Fish measures approx 6.5in Drop is approx 20in
