I was scammed by the buyer @sierralaca, she bought my shoes that were in brand new condition with tags still on them exactly as pictures. She filed a claim saying they were not new with tags and put a tiny smear on them of what looked like makeup and said they were stained. Poshmark only sided with her side of the story and authorized a return. When I received the boots she replaced them with a random knock off pair of boots and kept the authentic brand new pair of doc martens. SELLERS BEWARE!!!

poshfinds19 @desertflowerma no and there’s no number to call so I can talk to an actual Poshmark worker 😡 I am livid knowing this keeps happening and they can get away with it ! I am sure you can call the nearest police department of where you shipped them and explain because this is mail fraud!

poshfinds19 @desertflowerma okay so email them but seriously call the police department near them today like right now if you can, don’t wait and do it later because then they’ll be like “so why didn’t you call when you saw you didn’t get them” you know? Just look all their address and search up the nearest one and call them because you need your boots back and they need to be held accountable for this

ocgancho I read on a Facebook group that you can open a counter claim when you receive them. I believe there’s an option that says your return was not as described or something similar to that where you can mention what happened, you should try that!

I did submit a counterclaim I also contacted their support via an email so I have two avenues of communication with poshmark hopefully they are able to help me. I can’t believe with such a huge company scammers are able to get away with blatant scams like this I’m sick

desertflowerma @marieone me too if anything good comes from this I hope that people read this and learn about scams like these. This was my first sale! I’ve been with poshmark since 2017 and figured I’d finally sell something that didn’t fit that I got for Christmas. Boy did I learn the hard way :(. I really needed that money too I’m so heartbroken.

heyhayls @desertflowerma this has happened to me as well, with a different person! posh should reimburse you fully; if they try to give you partial credit, be persistent! also, when you get a return, always video tape yourself opening the box so that you have irrefutable proof if they send the wrong item back to you. so sorry you have to deal with this, i know it sucks :(

desertflowerma @heyhayls yea this is my first time dealing with a situation like this so I had no clue what was going on and truly thought this person was sending me the boots back. I’m so heartbroken and will be filing a police report and a report with the usps PD.

heyhayls @desertflowerma yesss, i hope you're able to get good results. another thing i do if i sell a high priced item is take a photo of all sides of the item next to the shipping label to prove that it was in good condition when shipped out. fingers crossed that the person who scammed you gets in trouble and you get your money released to you 💞

peaceomposh @leftcoaast hey there, just wanted to write & see this is the first I’ve seen happen after buying & selling on here for years! This is super messed up and important to be aware of!! but I’ve never had a seller or buyer scam me in 3 plus years on poshmark so don’t let it deter you too much I’d be more deterred by poshmarks seller fees lol 😂 theyre pretty outrageous
