apconcep Hi! Do these boots fit true to size? I’m a 35 but have heard FP shoes for a size smaller. Is this true? Would the 36 fit me or be too big?

freepeople @apconcep HI there. I've never seen these boots in person and can't find any reviews, but would expect them to run true to size. I will say, I'm a true 7.5 and always get a 38euro in FP shoes and they fit great (size chart shoes 38=8). If you can fit a 5.5-6 comfortably, I think the 36 would work!

freepeople @aprilk17 Unfortunately we weren't given measurements for this style. However, doing a search, I found that a size 39 has a circumference of 15". I'd expect the 38 to be roughly the same or a tad smaller. Hope that helps!

freepeople @nestorg I was able to find that for a size 39, the shaft measures approximately 16". These should be pretty close to knee-high. They are shown as being slouched down in the photos, but can also be worn up!

nestorg Is the 16" shaft measurement INCLUDING the heel? or measurement does not include the heel? 2nd question: How do they stay up in straight up position? Any photos worn straight up with No slouch? (to determine how far up they go). The color is PERFECT! Trying to make them work.

freepeople @nestorg Hi! I asked Maddie (who's wearing the boots in the real photos) about these today. She said that the 16" does not include the heel and that the shaft isn't totally stiff, so when they are pulled up they generally stay, but may slouch a touch as you're wearing them. Hope that helps! I'll ask her to post a photo of the boots worn straight up soon!

nestorg I cannot THANK YOU ENOUGH! because there is a stock photo of the exact same color in over the knee boots with the Uptown Olive Green dress that go perfect. If I can find those FP boots! But THESE BOOTS are the NEXT best alternative. So, the photos will hep a lot!!!

nestorg It says "color may vary slightly" which is understandable. But what exact color would you say it is? Is it closer to RUST color? or Burnt Orange? or more Burgundy/Wine color? or Lighter like more Orange?

freepeople @nestorg Hi! We have the 'color may vary' note on all listings since we use stock photos and sometimes colors look a tad different. I've never seen these in person, and the actual photos are from someone who no longer works with us. But looking at the actual photos, I'd say they would be more of a reddish rusty color. sheddingleaves I’m on the fence about which pair I should get the 38 or 39. I’m a size 8. I just think FP can run a half size small(sometimes) when I’ve gotten 39/they are too big usually, but I just bought a size 38 on a totally different style and they’re too small. Any suggestions?

However, since these are made in Italy and are true European sizing, I would assume that run a tad small. I can't 100% guarantee that with these shoes, but that is what I have observed in the past on similar styles!

sheddingleaves @freepeople I looked as well and couldn’t find anything. Thank you for doing that! I do think most of my shoes(with a heel) measure 9.75/10 inches. But, I’m always a size 8. I’ll get 8.5 sometimes and just have to add an insole. So, I guess 39 makes the most sense? Gonna see what other info I can find. Thanks again!
