sonyaricklefs May I ask where you got this item ? It is not mid century. This is from the 1860's if it isn't a reproduction. This is a civil war officer's belt buckle or sword shield. I would need a pic with the whole back to tell.

sonyaricklefs so far I've found 2 just like it that are real. I'd go to an expert. You may have a piece of history and way more money. Let me know how it turns out !
