baceydaze I did want to mention since the tarnishing that an easy way to remove tarnish is to place items in a container that isn't metal, place a piece of aluminum foil, jewelry and sprinkle on some baking soda. pour boiling water on and it will be gone. I would be wary of dunking certain gems in the boiling water. I've just dunked it in the water around the gem and it works very well. Hopefully that works for you and you won't have to discount items due to tarnishing from here on out.
