trenderz
trenderz wow! thank you sooo much for sharing this!!! i read it then kept scrolling for some birkenstock’s and found a cute pair, went to check sizes, and they had all sizes. so i looked and there it was! 141 following! i wrote on their meet the posher and reported it. how is this being allowed to happen?!! why wouldn’t posh stop this! it was to be everywhere since i found it just few listings down! and why do they always have that number of followers? that doesn’t even make sense to me!
Apr 16Reply
frindlerta
frindlerta @heatherryan742 glad you avoided being scammed! they use a bot that auto follows 141 people. I've been emailing posh about this and unfortunately they are too slow to take down these accounts, and the scammers keep opening new accounts every day. Really hope they resolve this soon!
Apr 16Reply
trenderz
trenderz @frindlerta i can’t believe people put so much effort into doing things like this. i am so grateful i saw this post. i would have had no clue! i’ve been reporting all the profiles and listings i’ve seen so far. There’s one where this poor 65 year old woman just saw someone comment it was a scam but she had just purchased a pair. These are the kind of people they’re getting. i’ll help spread the word! thank you so much!

kelsylikesshoes
kelsylikesshoes did you know that they are also usuing people who comment on their listings warning others of the scam (example "SCAM PAGE DO NOT BUY") Well they are ususing these people as a referral code for when they make their new accounts profiles. I've already been used about 30+ times as a referral for these new scam.acoxutns and every day that passes new referrals pop up from.THEM!!! they only need your username to use your referral code since it is your username.
Apr 16Reply
kelsylikesshoes
kelsylikesshoes I think they are doing this to hurt the people trying to warn others ....so when posh finally takes action and brings the scam accounts down they bring the honest seller down with them...the honest seller who is just trying to do the right thing by helping & warning others JUST TO CAUSE HAVOC!!! it's so stupid.
Apr 16Reply
kelsylikesshoes
kelsylikesshoes @troutlilyco those have been around for years and the ones who ask for your email target new accounts. they do it to everyone. it's ljke the posh welcome...your not a real poshwr until you get that comment. lol but these ones are very different from the one who commented on your page. these ones use a bot to make about 500+ profiles each day starting around 4/5 am EST till late in the afternoon. mostly all the luxury brands at 5 am EST are scammers. it's so sad.

misslaura1969
misslaura1969 @frindlerta yeah.. it’s the new people they do it to. Awful- first Poshmark purchase-they get scammed - then they never trust Poshmark again. Poshmark really doesn’t do very much about it.. there is really no ‘Poshmark corporate’ no ‘customer service department’ .. and they know this... they know they can pull scams for several weeks or months before being shut down. On the merc. App.. they are like the CIA lol scammers don’t stand a chance! I still adore my Poshmark!

Even if Posh refunds you $501, you’re still out $1,600. Bank won’t refund. Scammers open new closets every time they get shut down. stylebelle @rebeccae0312 about the Chanel Le Boy Medium bag, if you don’t mind, let me know if bag ships. Looks like people are interested in purchasing from seller. Not sure what type of scam this might be. All I know is that seller was trying to get people to buy on the face site.
Apr 26Reply
stylebelle
stylebelle @true2fit I saw your comment on LV tote bag $1,274. It’s a scam. Seller posted text # to get people to contact him/her, then wants potential buyer to send cash via bank apps (not refundable). Seller won’t ship bag, bank won’t refund buyer. I know of at least 3 people who were scammed out of thousands in March, 1 person lost $5,700 this month in April and another of unknown amount in April. Scam is as old as the introduction of the money transfer apps. Stay safe.
Apr 26Reply
rebeccae0312
rebeccae0312 @stylebelle no it never shipped! She canceled yesterday sadly and said someone else bought it on another site before me. She did respond to my comment asking when it would ship then cancelled. I really don’t see the purpose of this other than upsetting the buyer 😭
Apr 26Reply
stylebelle
stylebelle @rebeccae0312 same excuse was given to the other buyer (LV favorite bag). Total BS. Both sales cancelled because seller has NO bags. The LV tote was purchased today. That one won’t ship either. Seller wants people to contact them on his/her fake Facebook account and wants cash via bank apps. Seller doesn’t ship and buyer can’t get refund. It’s not refundable by the bank. Biggest scam going on with these luxury bags. I’m going to report. Stay safe.

pet_diva I’ve been reporting the scam listings, and I noticed someone has started commenting on them, why they think the listings might be scams. That’s a bad idea. If the scammers realize how their listings are recognized as scams, they will start changing them and making them more difficult to detect.
May 16Reply
dalemacaz
dalemacaz @pet_diva I agree with you! I’ve been commenting on them to help potential buyers know. I’ve seen that the scammers are changing their tactics. More fake items and putting more information in the listing. I know a lot of these are stolen from other poshers. I’ve had a lot of ppl message me, thanking for giving them a heads up. I think the only way to have an impact on the scammers is for ppl to realize that a brand new Louis bag for $200 is obviously a fake!
Jun 12Reply
pet_diva

raidena Just as a courtesy, I commented on one pair but you have quite a few pairs of your Birkenstocks listed as half sizes when they don’t come in half sizes.

kickinitcountry
kickinitcountry I busted them doing that with cowboy boots. they used my pics to sell some Dan Post Boots. while I was reporting them for three separate posts using my pics, I recognized the background on some Corral cowboy boots as another boot sellers pics on Poshmark. she was so shocked whenever I showed her! it took a minute and some insistance to Poshmark but they were made to take all our cowboy boots down.

kickinitcountry
kickinitcountry also, I'm not sure that this matters but I list on three different platforms and I post my merchandise a little differently depending on which platform I'm using. well, they not only stole my boot pics but they copied my listing word for word. they actually stole my listing from over at M and then brought here to make their fake sales.😏

bbigbird
bbigbird Hi frindler I am not a scammer I am a sad Birkenstock collector! I have probably over 100 pairs most gently used. I was hit by a drunk driver in 2017 causing broken legs and crushed right foot and ankel. After 5.5 yrs I still can not walk safely in my Birkenstocks. I am looking for someone to sell them. I live in Maryland. Please let me know if you would be interested in helping me. I have been putting lots on flyp so I am realistic about selling prices and splitting the proceeds.

jrmm110200
jrmm110200 I just wanted to let people know that @marandachisholm might be a scammer because they stole six different photos that I have posted and listed on another website.I think this person believes they can get away with it because those listings aren’t posted on my Poshmark.I know that those are my photos because the background is the same that I use for Poshmark and the other website. Just type in my username in the internet to see the photos they took from my other account

lepidge4418
lepidge4418 Is Poshmark protecting buyers who unfortunately fall victim to these people? If you receive something that wasn’t ordered, wouldn’t Poshmark refund/ban the seller?
Dec 28Reply
frindlerta
frindlerta @lepidge4418 yes you can get a refund but poshmark only gives 3 days to open a return so some people don't realize until it's too late

mindy1mouse
mindy1mouse @bbigbird no and please no one else fall for this. This is how you get in trouble. They are looking for someone else to take the fall for their fake products. Do NOT fall for the “I’m looking for someone else to sell for me” scam. It’s almost ALWAYS accompanied by a sad story to reel people in and to make you think you are “helping.” You are helping yourself to becoming an accessory to their fake product ring and you will take the fall for it

sydney1969 How can I post this in my closet? I’m always getting ask to txt or email which I Won’t. I’ve checked their closets and the last one had about 7-9 listings. They were high end merchandise but what really got me was when I hit the “meet the posher” under “about” nothing would come up. Then I noticed there was no sells or love notes. There was only 142 shares.

bridgetsbeauty
bridgetsbeauty @txgratitude Thank you so much! This looks like what I was telling you about! Seriously, PM should have someone investigating if they don't already because there's way too much of it going on. That would be a huge job, too. It shouldn't be that easy and clearly it is. The onus is on this site to crack down, but are they? It seems like they're leaving a lot up to the users.

sydney1969 @bridgetsbeauty I’ve got where I won’t follow or welcome Anyone like this….you don’t know who’s new just to a buyer and who’s a scammer when it comes to this. When I first signed up it was so foreign to me I didn’t do anything but sign up. It was Poshers reaching out and being so kind to teach me is the only reason I stayed. Now it’s been YEARS

destinyxb Thank you for posting! Just joined and I got some weird scammers asking me to email them. But I have a question: does Poshmark do some kind of auto-follow? Because I found out I was following 141 people… when I never followed anyone myself
