Gorgeous antique locket from WWI, likely sent back home to a soldier's sweetheart while he was off at war. Shaped like a book, with a fold out book with leaders of the Allied Powers and I believe the might be text from the first two articles of the Treaty of Versailles, in the French language.

it does have wear and tarnish, but still so lovely as is! It measures approx 1 1/2" long, not including the bail loop.

😲😱😲 I can't believe how amazing this is!!! I would contact the WWI museum in Kansas City, MO about this item. Or the World War I national museum of American history Smithsonian institution out of DC.
