Vintage Cat Ceramic Novelty Ornament Tea Pot

Lovely cat shaped novelty tea pot in an rich brown tone. The tail forms the handle, and the raised paw is the spout. It is of Chinese origin, probably dating to the mid century. Good, with no cracks or chips noted. There is some faint marking to the outer glaze in parts, where it looks like it has rubbed against something (see photos).
