jodaniel77 @betsysue @danielad84 I was in San Diego years ago and stopped in this huge bead store/ custom jewelry . They guy wanted to take pics of my Yurman and I let him. The bracelet my mom bought fell apart by the time we got back to the hotel, so we went back the next day. A replica of the Yurman I was wearing was in the case. Also, remember when j crew knocked off the small gold and silver oval link necklace in 2007?

Then she finally responded but keeps saying I’m rude lol. I think she knew and is now trying to play dumb because she won’t say where she bought it. danielad84 @jodaniel77 They aren't fake, they are real but not given in DY. Actually those are given to the buyers of DY authorized retailers like NM , Bloomingdales and Northstrom. You can easily purchase them online for cents each😕

danielad84 @jodaniel77 And that certificate of authenticity is nothing when it's empty. It should be filled in with the style Number and date of purchase. Also store stamp to show where it was purchased. I have few pieces that came with those.

danielad84 @dawnsimpson_ Take comparison photos side to side with your authentic ring - if you have the exact same 11mm . Stamp, the inner part of tge shank and everything different that you see in the ring. For me the stone color is also off. It's not suppose to be that dark.

dawnsimpson_ @betsysue thank you! I originally sent pics but just said the inside is smooth. I know the cable part doesn’t continue and they do not form the chevron. They go in the same direction. I don’t know about the setting. There are a lot of fakes on here it appears so I need to go to DY website but I know they do change things too. So I want to be accurate in my descriptions and pics.

danielad84 @dawnsimpson_ You can't get much of info from.the DY website because the albion was completely changed. I can tag you on a new and old version of the ring. That shouldn't in general confuse you of being fake. the twisted cable shank of the old style wasn't going the same way 😊

dawnsimpson_ @danielad84 The ring I have is larger and not a stone. It’s the cable and has diamonds around it. It was about $1200 years ago but they no longer make it. And it’s a substantially heavier ring. I am at my mothers but will drive home and get it later today. She has been sick so helping her recover. But it’s not the Albion ring.

danielad84 @betsysue BTW, wanted to tell you for the Chatelaine rings- the ones without diamond bezel are actually with 3 diamonds on the claw prongs (11,14 and 20mm) The ones that are with diamond bezel around the stones are with 2 diamonds on the claw prongs.

jodaniel77 @danielad84 yes, the one that sold for $1k. It passed Poshmark when I bought/traded for it, Yurman thought it was real, the diamonds are real, but she bought that ring from someone else and that person has a piece of fake Yurman in their closet. I’ll tag you in the original sale.

danielad84 @jodaniel77 Most fakes are with real diamonds and stones. They are small and very cheap. You can buy genuine 1mm diamond for around $5 . In other countries for less than that.

The pave ones you can mostly recognize them from the prongs size and the setting. please send me photo of the ring if you ever have a chance. No additional stamps other than the circle DY logo and D.Y. 925 ?

danielad84 @jodaniel77 It's not moonlight ice, right? no darkening ? if so , you can try the JSP Silver cleaner or the baking soda aluminum foil with hot water cleaning very quick. The topaz,onyx, citrine, amethyst, smoky quartz, garnet ,tourmaline are ok with the hot water. But not and the pearl, opal , turquoise, white agate,green onyx,chalcedony, rose quartz and carnelian or prasiolite. For rose quartz and prasiolite- if you could act quickly (4-5seconds) it wouldn't harm them much.

jodaniel77 @danielad84 no, it’s really old. It’s from the cerise collection and has the typical back with the openings. I wear it the summer and clearly sweat and the ring isn’t comfortable so I never wear it.

danielad84 @jodaniel77 That's absolutely safe to clean with the baking soda, aluminum foil and hot water then. The reason I asked is because solution may remain trapped between the stone and the back of the enhancer and might not be possible to ever clean it that would leave the stone cloudy and dirty dirty the inside if the back is closed. Then only way is to remove the back in order to have it cleaned.

I am not sure if it is true but I really hope that the experts at PM know what they are doing. May be they should start to authenticate items starting at $ 200 and up because most fake DY priced within this range.

lk51916 Watch out for the brand new looking $268 cable bracelet with pave rectangle in center. I see two are still up. When I questioned poster and pointed out different posters are using same photos and exact same text, they took listing down and reposted under another name. Please explain how they change the shipping address to make it look like you received the item.

From what I understand- and I don’t know if it’s correct or not, they alter the labels somehow. If the buyer doesn’t know that they only have 3 days to dispute delivery their funds get released!

mah614 I so appreciate all the time you took/ take to compare real and fake DY. There are MANY fakes here and on Mec@r¡ I bought one and took it to a jewelry shop. They verified 18k yellow gold & .925 silver and 30 days later the gold rubbed off! They got the girl off the platform, but chastised me for waiting to request a refund. Dishonesty is repulsive! 🤬 Thank you again for being HONEST!
