Small 6” Antique Vase From Firenze / Florence, Italy Hand Made & Painted Artisan Vase Gorgeous Aqua Blue Floral Geometrico Fiorito Artist signed 6 in x 3 1/4 wide approx As photographed - vintage item & is a gorgeous small vase with lovely character Italian technique of scratching a design into an unfired piece of pottery is “Sgraffito” & dates back to the 15th century It was revived & made popular in the 1920’s The combination of floral design with geometric patterns is “geometrico-fiorito” & this is a fine example Vintage: Old glue from orig price label on side - you can leave it or take it off - we think it adds to its vintage charm Small hairline nick on lip edge of vase that seems to be part of how it was made - it is in photos but do feel free to ask any questions - thanks a bunch!
