These earrings authentic of course, cost $2,500. And as you can see, the posts are also white gold- not yellow like hers. These earrings are from susanmhuff’s closet who has blocked me and my comments deleted :( Best we can do is look out for eachother! ❤️👍 Also, blank auth. cards mean NOTHING!!!!! ❌❌❌

betsysue @ctryon Honestly. I commented and she blocked me. My mind is starting to realllllllly explode, to the point where I don’t even want to LOOK anymore!

betsysue @shan031792 I know it. It’s just hard knowing I’ve thrown away so much $ on this crap, if I can prevent it from happening to anyone else I’m going to try. It might not matter to you, but if it DOES ever happen to you, you’ll understand why I’m trying so hard to help. 🙃👋🏻

betsysue
betsysue @shan031792 Ahhhh I see why you said that, you’ve sold a few fakes yourself 😂😂😂😂😂😂 of course YOU would tell me to stop looking! Geesh get outta here.
Jun 27Reply
betsysue
betsysue @shan031792 I’m not ripping anyone apart- I’m INFORMING people of fakes. Thanks for commenting here, now anyone who sees this can avoid shopping your closet if they want anything authentic 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Jun 27Reply
betsysue
betsysue @shan031792 also, if someone mentions to you that you may want to get your item authenticated- and YOU BLOCK them, I’d say you’re far from innocent. You are happily selling something you are not sure is real. It’s trash. Any person who DOES NOT want to rip anyone off would do what needs to be done to be sure that doesn’t happen. If you do not care if you’re ripping someone off, then yes- block them and wait for a buyer that’s unaware.

karacsony2016 @shan031792 agree. I’ve fallen for that myself.
Jun 27Reply
betsysue
betsysue @karacsony2016 It’s happened to me too- several times. There are numerous closets here selling high high volumes of fakes- clearly all for under $500. I don’t think a lot of these people know - I didn’t. But I also don’t think it does anyone any good to not at least try to help others... I wish someone would’ve warned me on the multiple I bought!
Jun 27Reply
jenkitty
jenkitty Agreed! I have a post in my closet on how to spot fake DYs based on gemstone and other hallmarks. It's gotten SO bad over the last five years! So sad to think of those being taken advantage of .
Jun 27Reply
betsysue
betsysue @jenkitty That’s awesome- that’s what someone else is showing me too. The gemstone cuts/colors are so terrible on some of these fakes... and I never would’ve even looked! 👍 It really does stink- I feel like anyone who doesn’t want to help won’t understand until it happens to them. It definitely sucks learning you’ve thrown away a lot of money- and sold them unknowingly yourself! Poshmark is failing miserably in this area!
Jun 27Reply
jenkitty
jenkitty @betsysue I actually bought a fake piece off M because I had the authentic one from Norstroms and knew I could make a case to return it. Just wanted to see it in person and compare. For me it was night and day but for many who haven't seen DY in person they probably would be super happy to keep and think about their great deal. Glad there's awareness here but you're right, PM is really unable to manage. Thanks to someone else's post I learned about the shipping scam where they alter your address
Jun 27Reply
jenkitty
jenkitty @betsysue and then it shows delivered and they get paid, that level of scum seriously blew my mind! There's a special place for these folks and it's not here above ground, ,lol.
Jun 27Reply
jenkitty
jenkitty Also, The Real Real has awesome jewelry, returns, and authentication. I stopped buying a lot of high end jewelry on PM because I'm just too worried now that I know about the whole shipping thing. But, it's good for me, I need less stuff anyhow. Haha.
Jun 27Reply
betsysue
betsysue @jenkitty Same here!!! My spending has significantly decreased because of all this nonsense!! ( like you, not a bad thing). The delivery scam infuriates me- I can only hope Karma takes care of them! The RealReal and Fashionphile is where mostly I go to compare items before buying now- it is too hard to tell without realllllly looking- I’m so thankful to have learned tho. Thank you for that post- I’m going to share often!!

kf7345
kf7345 If a piece is $500 or more Poshmark will authenticate it.
Jun 28Reply
betsysue
betsysue @kf7345 I know- very unfortunately they are not qualified. I’ve been sold to fake items that passed authentication- and most likely these buyers will accept under $500.
Jun 28Reply
betsysue
betsysue @kf7345 It’s really too bad- there are far more fakes than authentic on this site. I have 2 bracelets and 4 rings ☹️ all fake. I’m just hoping this will make others aware to really dig into what you’re buying and compare- it’s out of control!
Jun 28Reply
kf7345
kf7345 @betsysue I know more than 1/2 the DY items are fake. While it is a good idea to point out fake items, your answer to me on authentications not being accurate, just says "Do not buy anything on PM." Not fair to people like me who do not sell fakes.
Jun 28Reply
betsysue
betsysue @kf7345 That’s not true at all. Everyone wants this fake selling to stop- even those like you or the others who truly only sell authentic... I understand it’s frustrating. But believe me, you’re the only one who has looked at this in a “ my sales” kind of way. The rest of us want this stopped or at least monitored. They’re stealing sales from you either way- they need to step up their game. The reputation of the site will do more damage than this post I’m sure! 👍
Jun 28Reply
betsysue
betsysue @kf7345 It does stink I agree- but this is not the place to put full faith in authentic items, There are sites that authenticate BEFORE listing for sale. - it’s the only way unfortunately with all the replicas. The more people know the better it will be all around
Jun 28Reply
kf7345
kf7345 @betsysue Yes, there are sites that authenticate up front. I have to send the item to them and it is a consignment sale. I cannot sell an item on multiple sites. Based on your feed, you are strongly suggesting that people go somewhere else to buy. You believe you are doing good, but you may be doing more harm than good.
Jun 28Reply
betsysue
betsysue @kf7345 I understand why you feel that way, but like I said, many of us are tired of being screwed over. Literally $1,000 in fakes- until Poshmark cleans up this site, I would say 100% shop more credible sites for higher end items 😔. But also remember your closet is like the others selling only authentic- most of these posts are about the highly copied items, the people who want the real item will go to closets like yours.
Jun 28Reply
betsysue
betsysue @kf7345 I’m working on a post with the names/closets of the honest and authentic DY sellers- I think that will help the people like you. I just have been nervous to ask if I could use the closets in a listing. There truly aren’t a lot of you 😭😭😭 but now that I know, when I’m looking for something I know where to go- you will get the sale over the others... other than “ here it is cheaper I’ll buy this one”. I think it will help in the long run, maybe not.
Jun 28Reply
kf7345
kf7345 @betsysue There you go. You just told everyone who took the time to read this feed to shop elsewhere. DY does not care about the fakes. I asked. And to be honest the people who think they are getting a deal when they pay $200 for a current item are not shopping my closet.
Jun 28Reply
kf7345
kf7345 If you see a fake, report it to PM. I do.
Jun 28Reply
kf7345
kf7345 Please do not involve me in your quest to clean up PM.
Jun 28Reply
betsysue
betsysue @kf7345 I do too. You’re right DY does not care about the fakes on Poshmark- they are looking for the source. Poshmark though, should care. Anyway- sorry this posts upsets you. It will help the majority is us who are not professional DY buyers, the people who know better and only buy from authentic sellers will continue to do so- just like I will from now on.
Jun 28Reply
betsysue
betsysue @kf7345 I would not do that- Didn’t even involve you on this one 👍

rsa101973 How can you tell the fake starburst from the fake ones
Jul 14Reply
betsysue
betsysue @rsa101973 Most obvious is that the “ diamonds” on the fake ones seem to run together- it’s like with almost all the fakes. DY darkens the silver behind the diamonds so you can see each one 👍 Even brand new, shiny and flawless, you’ll be able to see separately each diamond 👍

betsysue @madame_b hey! Absolutely- I am getting better at it, but still have so much to learn. I tagged a friend who truly is a professional ❤️ Shes helped me immensely with all my purchases!!

betsysue @madame_b Have you already accepted it? You can email Poshmark, I definitely would!

pishposhmark7
pishposhmark7 Hello: My suggestion is to contact Poshmark Support. They likely will have you ship the piece to them for authentication, if you have a question about a purchase’s authenticity.. I hope this is helpful. Being able to rely on the representation of other Poshers in transactions is a critical aspect of doing business, in my opinion. Hope you are able to resolve your issue.

12redalert
12redalert Great info. What do you think about High Line jewelry? They sell mostly Davis Yurman. Everything is less than $500 so Poshmart does not authenticate it. I bought a bracelet that I plan to take to the David Yurman store. They say everything is authentic but I’m starting to wonder. Thanks
Oct 23Reply
betsysue
betsysue @12redalert Hey! I don’t trust any of the closets with absurd amounts of Yurman- especially the new styles. There are a few closets with a lot of different authentic items- but the same items all priced under $500 is bad 😖 It took me a while to figure out the differences in a lot of the items- much too late for me to do anything about it of course 😭😭😭
Oct 23Reply
betsysue
betsysue @12redalert I’d definitely take your items to be checked- like the petite wheatons… the top and bottom diamonds lining the sides are smaller than the middle ones. I never would’ve noticed in a million years- but check and there it was!

perkie43
perkie43 @betsysue Bottom line, everyone: if it seems like too good of a deal, it is. I always go to the DY site to check out the pictures very carefully if it’s a current piece, and do a side by side comparison on screen — and also have quit buying retired pieces altogether on Posh. TRR, Fashionphile and TrueFacets are the best places for authenticated pieces. MyGemma is also good.
