Kristy1869, I put down ❌fake❌ she replied, but gorgeous, will buy today. What is Wrong with plp, are they that desperate to own an LV that are willing to hurt others???? I could not feel good carrying a replica. What does that say about me. If I can’t afford one, I’ll wait, save or buy used. I feel great to own the real thing, not for anyone, but for myself. Makes me feel good. Don’t care what Joe blow thinks. 🤷🏽♀️my money!!!🧐

@lupi123 a lot of people don’t understand the real harm done to people to make knock offs, usually if you tell them they will be horrified like the rest of us. It’s an uphill battle to spread the knowledge but worth every ounce of fight put into it

@melissaelainej I'm so confused on how posh mark allows them to be sold on their site when you look at new listings especially LV. most are replicas. saddled/ disgusted by the trafficking . thank you for your info and posts. 💕God Bless you for your truth
Jul 04Reply

theluxuryloopco
@lugrisa I know, it’s very frustrating for all of us honest buyers and sellers. I can say that PMHQ has 300 employees, some recent estimates are that it’s up closer to 500 in the last year, but still, there are millions of users and hundreds of thousands of listings and interactions a day. A good majority of PM is run by bots so it takes a lot of reporting to get some of the scammers deleted

YES! I've been spending around 6 hours every day lately to report these fakes. LET'S FIGHT THEM TOGETHER! There was ONE day where almost all fakes were gone from the LV brand page - and now they're back, more than ever. We NEED to keep reporting the heck out of them so Posh takes action.

So sad. I bought a counterfeit turn out of be self made skirt from a seller. It’s like the seller made one out of the real one. There’s no logo label/washing label/size sewed on it. I’ve seen a real one should like, so sad that Poshmark believe it is authentic since the seller prove his or her fall out price label. So angry that I can’t get refund of this homemade one. I want to pay her shipping even to just let this piece out of my sight.

Count me in! I can’t stand all the fake bags on here. I commented that one bag was fake. Less than 2 mins later I was tagged in several comments telling me that they could get me a cheaper LV bag on DHGate! WTH- I want to get rid of all the counterfeiters not buy anything from them.

Can you give an example of how to tell who is selling fake items? I’m new to posh
Oct 30Reply

theluxuryloopco
@ediveritas the @ name of the closet is usually gibberish, often it’s a new closet (not always) with only “luxury” items ( sometimes there will be one or two other things to throw people off) the “designer” items will always be brand new, insanely cheap… ex. Louis Vuitton neverfull for $300… and the photos are duplicates and exactly the same as the pics in several other closets of several other “people”
Oct 30Reply

theluxuryloopco
@ediveritas they use factory stock photos most of the time but sometimes they steal other poshers pictures of purses etc. they steal profile photos too… be weary of anything under $500

Hi - I am new to PM and still trying to figure out how to use it. I saw one item that was for sale, but the same same bag was also sold twice in her closet. The first time it sold for about $400+ and the second time it was sold for $1100. Apologies for being naive, but why would it be sold twice?
Thanks for any input.
Feb 12Reply

theluxuryloopco
@cecillezarra no worries! Sometimes if a bag is very expensive and the buyers account is flagging such a large transaction the seller will split up the price into two listings that equal the total amount. Since one was over $500 the bag must go to Poshmark authentication concierge so there’s a good chance it’s the real deal but I would have to see specific item to say for certain
Feb 12Reply

cecillezarra
@melissaelainej thank you! The YSL bag is in the closet of nataliesitwell.

@emmadiaz1221 got scam from this person I thought she was decent as she has followers She told me that she was about to post an item LV Neverful and so I thought she was true. We spoke over text and it was my fault to trust somebody so easily I’m still learning poshmark but I think I will be more careful nextime I paid her thru zelle $700 for an item she never sent out. She showed that she made the a tracking number but it was invalid I kept contacting but no response.
Jul 29Reply

theluxuryloopco
@k_difuntorum I’m so sorry to hear that, it is sad but getting people to pay for items off PM is a common scam, and they target new poshers. your bank may be able to help you get your money back. I would contact them asap.
Jul 29Reply

theluxuryloopco
@kirabella35 you need to stop, I am actually the founder and lead on the anti counterfeit bag reporting team here on Poshmark. There are many Louis Vuitton bags that are made in Spain and will read “made in Spain” under Louis Vuitton Paris. Just google it. And the Gucci is VINTAGE. I have sold over 800 -authenticated by poshmark - luxury bags, just check my stats. If you want to stop counterfeiters on here sign up to join my team
Jul 30Reply

theluxuryloopco
Also, all my items are listed at $500 so they will go to authentication, I do not take offers on $500 items 🙄
Jul 30Reply

I constantly report these accounts and nothing happens. I usually report the item and the closet. Still no luck. When I see potential buyers I warn them the items are fake. Some don't care and its disgusting!
Oct 08Reply

theluxuryloopco
@mystickriver omgosh I feel you, it’s the worst when the potential buyer sees no problem with it! I usually tag them in these posts with info on forced labor and human trafficking. I’ve still had a few who argue that it’s not true, that’s what really blows my mind. Feel free to tag people in this post and spread the word

A dozen VIP items sold MANY YEARS ago out of the 4,000 actually verified authentic items I’ve sold does not equal selling counterfeits. They were listed as such. May I ask your stance on all the “VIP/Free With Purchase” listings? I see SOOOOOOOOO MANY in large/established closets, and even MORE being sold during live shows. For a short time, I sold some ‘upcycled’ & VIP items, until someone educated me on what they actually were. I’m just shocked that none of these large scale sellers aren’t getting in trouble & no mods are keeping an eye on the live shows. 🤯
Jan 18Reply

passion4poshing
Oh, and please sign me up! 👍🏻
Jan 18Reply

theluxuryloopco
@passion4poshing Same here, though it was briefly and a few years ago. I had gotten them from someone I knew personally and not online. My stance is that the VAST majority, likely 99.9% of these are counterfeit. They are available on the same sites that sell bag knockoffs and are made using the same atrocities.
Jan 18Reply

theluxuryloopco
@passion4poshing Additionally, the CHANEL ones that look like leather have never been even given as gwps by the company. Frankly, the people who are selling these in massive quantities know exactly where they got them from and that they are not legit. PM does not allow the sale of these nd the listings should be reported as well as the live shows they are being sold in .
Jan 18Reply

passion4poshing
@theluxuryloopco I'm so glad you agree cuz I definitely have some closets to share with you! I'll send you a bundle message, minus the @'s! ❤️
Jan 18Reply

cy410316
@passion4poshing there has been such an increase in the “Chanel” bags; it’s sickening!! Also individuals who clearly sell replica clothing and accessories once a week. I know someone who has reported a particular seller at least 5 times….They continue to sell and even asks buyers to contact her for more “vip” items. Sickening!!
Feb 09Reply

@dnny748 I understand it’s easy to get irritated by all the crap people on this platform that scam people, bc I’ve been complaining about it for years already, but I’m not one of them. I know who they are though and I’ve been working on it
