@jlpsthrift lol I am not the expert in microchip technology sorry. it's a digital microchip software embedded in the fabric that LV can scan when you bring the item for service. it verifies authenticity and origin of the bag. That the short version of it. I encourage to research further online for your piece of mind.

I am fairly new to purchasing on Poshmark and hesitant being such an expensive item. If I were to take the bag to the Loui Vuitton store to confirm microchip authenticity and it is not. Am I able to return.

@lashea81 hi the item get authenticated by poshmark prior to going to buyer. once the bag purchased, it goes to poshmark they have scanners that read authenticity. in addition it verifies condition accuracy as well. you will be able to take to LV store for future repairs as needed. they will scan the code prior to repairs.
