60's Jack Bryan "Dupuis" Gown - 6 - 8 - Bridesmaid - Prom - Frock - Party - Grad

Absolutely stunning Jack Bryan "Dupuis" op art floral chiffon and ruffles gown. With gorgeous huge poppies in pink, orange, blue and green, the background is black polka dots against a white backdrop. The fabric is a sheer and floaty chiffon (most likely polyester), and it lined in a white acetate (except for the sheer sleeves). The empire bodice is fitted with a ruffled v-neckline and back zipper, and it falls to the ankle/floor. Marked a size "12", see measurements below to ensure an accurate fit. I would suggest it would bit a modern 6 - 8. In excellent condition, there are a few small flaws (please see the pictures for further details): 1) Some light soiling around the back of the neckline. Not visible from the front. 2) About 2 inches of the hem needs restitching or fabric glue. 3) The waistline has been raised with larger stitches. I believe this dress originally had a belt and loops, so perhaps it was due to the fact that the belt was missing and/or the last person wearing this gorgeous piece had a short torso. 4) The "eye" of the hook and eye at the neckline is missing. I would try to add one, but my sewing skills are not good enough to make this look professional. An absolutely perfect dress for grad, prom, bridesmaid or even the bride! I LOVE IT.
