60s Vintage Horseshoe Thermometer Souvenir Buffalo NY Kitsch Midcentury Atomic

1960s vintage kitschy plastic horseshoe shaped thermometer souvenir from the City Hall of Buffalo, New York with a horse head in the center. Made of plastic and was originally a bright green colour, as seen on the back. Was painted with a matte gold / copper colour. Could possibly be returned to its original shade by someone with the right skills and know-how! Has a copper coloured satin tassel accent. In very good vintage condition, just a few small marks from use and the tassel is unraveling in places. Some paint scratched off on the back. The thermometer has been tested and works great. A wonderful and rare piece of kitschy Americana! Size: 6” x 4.25” No maker’s marks but these types of souvenirs from this era were typically made in the USA, Hong Kong or Japan.
