A vibrant Edwardian gilt floral postcard showing a dramatic bouquet of red, yellow, and pale lavender roses. Printed in Germany with classic early chromolithograph depth and mailed from Springfield, Massachusetts to rural Nova Scotia. Smooth finish with no embossing.
Front:
A lush rose arrangement featuring deep red blooms, soft yellow roses, and a pale lavender bud, all printed against a warm gold background. The surface is smooth (not embossed) with subtle age speckling on the gilt. The colours remain rich and saturated, typical of German chromo printing of this era.
Back:
Divided back with green Souvenir Post Card typography.
Postmarked Springfield, MASS — 1907.
Stamp has been removed, but the cancellation is intact. Full handwritten message in ink spans the correspondence side.
Condition:
Light corner wear, faint age spotting on the gilt, and a small patch of paper loss where the stamp was removed. Writing and postmark remain clear. No major creasing.
Overall:
A strong example of an early German-printed gilt floral postcard with a bold rose arrangement and early U.S.–to–Canada postal history appeal.
