Early 1910s hand-tinted view of the famous rustic stone bridge at Stow Lake in Golden Gate Park, published by Newman Post Card Co. Unused, divided back, classic California tourism era — part of the “On the Road of a Thousand Wonders” series.
Front:
A softly coloured, hand-tinted scene showing visitors strolling the lakeside path while rowboats pass beneath the rocky twin-arch bridge. Tall pines frame the horizon, giving it that dreamy Golden Gate Park postcard glow the 1910s were obsessed with.
Back:
Divided-back postcard with Newman Post Card Co. imprint (San Francisco / Los Angeles). Postage box notes 1¢ domestic / 2¢ foreign. Card No. V 305 from the Road of a Thousand Wonders promotional series. Unused.
Condition:
Light age toning and a few small surface marks on the reverse. Front shows only mild corner wear and gentle handling. Still crisp, bright, and very displayable for a 110+ year-old California card.
