These cherry red earrings are a unique mix of pattern, shape, and glass-work technique. The tops are made of opaque millefiori (“many flowered”) beads in red, white, and blue glass, and have a slightly matte finish. Silver wire attaches the millefiori glass to a smaller sphere of red glass and then to large organic circles of red and translucent glass. These larger glass beads bear idiosyncratic areas of clear glass amidst the red, and also show their hand-crafted nature in the distinct wobbles and dips in the shape (see pictures). Stud backings for pierced ears let you carry the weight of these earrings with greater ease. Over two inches long. Crafted by hand and artist-made. Previously owned in excellent condition.
