@mariemstar I understand but either way, it impacts the amount I get on the sale. I am already taking a loss on the sale and I would like to make at least $15 on the sale. A reduced shipping rate or a lower offer both impact my portion of the sale in the same way. Reduced shipping isn’t coming out of Poshmark’s cut.

@shell_always I get it totally. Here I would be paying $30. My understanding is when you lower the price to the agreed amount then Poshmart offers the reduced shipping.

@mariemstar unfortunately, no. The more a seller discounts the shipping, the less money made by the seller. Poshmark does not absorb that discount.

@shell_always oh I didn’t know that. I am going by what another seller told me. She changed the price and I accepted. I guess Poshmart runs discount shipping from time to time

@mariemstar Could be. I just went in and tested my understanding and basically, and the difference in shipping definitely comes out of the seller’s cut. If I did a $5.95 shipping on a $20 item, I would make $14.28. If I sell for $20 with regular shipping, I would make $16. If I offered free shipping, I would only make $8.33. I can see big ticket items or something over $75 doing free shipping.

@mariemstar no worries at all! If you sell more, just be aware that when you send private offers, Poshmark requires a discounted shipping rate. It won’t allow you to send the offer without it. So when you see discounted shipping, it’s the seller whose eating that cost, and not really by choice.

@shell_always oh wow good to know. Also there are times like today I picked up some earrings and right off the bat it says free shipping. Why do some sellers offer totally free shipping? Also when I and you countered back and forth does the shipping then go back to full price ?

@mariemstar if people are selling in large quantities, then they often offer free shipping because they have a high enough volume to counteract it. And yes, when we counter, it is the regular shipping.

Beautiful. I do not know if there are a MFG defect on the heels, the Right looks higher than the left? Maybe it is the surface used for photos?

@wandasingh the picture makes them look very wonky but I think it’s just that the heels are placed with one further forward. I wish I could wear them but they’re too big for me.
