While the tag says it's 95% cotton and 5% spandex, I have a hard time believing that due to the shirt's feel. It doesn't feel as breathable as a cotton-based composition. But I can't be certain. New with tags; many sellers have said that this shirt ran small. Seller was Avanova on Amazon, though I saw a lot of vendors on there selling the same product so I don't know if that makes a difference.
