Excellent condition Hopsack fabric. a somewhat loose weave 100% cotton. Hopsack is not really a type of fabric, but a type of weave. It is a basket-like pattern (see the first image) with subtle variations of colors between the threads. The hopsack weave is not too tight, so it is a very breathable fabric. Comfortable high waist with the pant hem hitting about 1 inch above the ankle on 5'4" person. Hopsack has natural inclusions, which enhance the appearance. These are part of the fabric and not damage done from wearing. Please see photo. this inclusion is on the right leg by the knee. Incredibly comfortable and roomy in seat and legs. Inseam is 22 inches. Fun pants...I just don't need them. :)
