This is an iconic purse from British designer Lulu Guinness. This is part of her Uber-exclusive limited edition series, and each is hand-printed, hand-embroidered, hand-made. This "Red Pagoda" model is one of her most famous and is in the permanent collection of the Met and the V&A. It was featured in several books on design, Anna Johnson's "Handbags," the NY Times, Vogue, and Elle Magazine. It was also featured in a series of stationery that was sold at several design museums. The body is red silk satin with black architectural detailing. The "roof" is done in black satin and it features a classic Chinese hip roof. The front shows an exquisite curving black doorframe, two white birds and hand-beaded felt appliqué trees. The sides features LG logo embroidered vases. It was created in 2001 and is a limited edition of 500. This purse was purchased by a private collector - it was never carried but instead put in a display cabinet before being put into storage. It comes with original sleeper bag and hand mirror. There is no damage or evidence of wear, it is in showroom condition.
