Nanette Lepore - Silk black wrap dress with silver eyelet detailing in size 2 The most subtle, and yet head-turning, statement piece I’ve ever owned. This is without a doubt my favorite dress that I have ever worn. Perhaps the only dress I’ve ever splurged on myself and bought at a true boutique. Have had children since buying this dress and subtle body changes (i.e. rib expansion) make it impossible for me to ever wear it again (silent sobbing). Some details that might be useful: -Size 2, but probably fits more like a size 0 -Not petite-sized but I’m 5’0 and felt it was short enough for me (falling a few inches above my knees) -Lovely wide slouchy pockets -Muscle-tank style sleeves, but with extra flap of fabric at the bottom so your bra doesn’t show (so thoughtful of the designer so I could wear a normal bra) -low cut, but lays nicely and wrap secures at technically three locations (next bullet) so still covers you despite a ‘sexy’ appearance (for reference I’m a DD and felt comfortable); never needed fashion tape to help keep closed or anything -wrap secures at three locations, two buttons (first at right rib, second just below the left, plus the tie) -tight-fitting around waist and loose everywhere else, giving you the perfect silhouette I hope someone else will love this dress as much as I have. It is a special piece indeed.
