In like new condition this 60’s era Christian Dior New York dress coat features all the trademark Dior flourishes: the beautiful highly structured fabric choice of most likely an Ottoman wool silk blend, the rigorous princess seaming, the nod to his New Look with the fitted waist and flared skirt. The buttons are gorgeous with just the right amount of “ bling”. (There a few tiny crystals missing, see photo). The Dior name is synonymous with elegance, refinement and good taste. The designer only lived for 10 years after founding his company. His legacy is forever. Measurements taken flat: armpit to armpit is 16 inches, waist is 15 inches and hips are 17 inches.
