🇪🇸 Vintage Don Luis De España maxi gown. From the 1970’s. Made in Spain. Gorgeous taffeta fabric woven from silk on the skirt, royal blue and white plaid. Navy blue polyester/acrylic bodice with a little stretch. Beautiful taffeta neck tie in the same plaid colours as the skirt. Is the material stretchy at all? And would you consider it a size ten today? I know the vintage sizes vary sometimes.

@laurengowing Hi Lauren. Good question... the top is definitely stretchy. The waist is not. Although vintage sizes are usually so much smaller, I think this is pretty much a 10. Pit to pit is 15”, which is about right for a 10, and the waist is 14”, also pretty close to a size 10. I have a daughter who’s a 10 and one who’s smaller, maybe 8. I can have them try it on tomorrow. 😉
