You cannot sanitize makeup safely see slides above Do not buy swatched or used makeup. You can get pink eye and other serious infections from it What happens when you use other people's makeup? At the very minimum, using some else's makeup exposes your skin to their natural oils (sebum) and bacteria. When you share makeup, you are transferring these unwanted elements directly to your face, which can irritate your current acne or spawn future Even if your friend does not have signs of sores or irritation around their lips, she could be carrying the herpes virus. Just sharing lipstick or lip gloss one time could land you a condition that will stay with you for the rest of your life. sharing of common eye makeup products like liquid mascara, eyeshadow, or eyeliners can result in a variety of unwanted eye infections like stye, conjunctivitis (pink eye), or warts. The skin around the eyes is extremely sensitive, making it very susceptible to infection. Sharing makeup increases your chances of contracting staph infections like Staphylococcus aureus and Staphylococcus epidermidis. The good news is that most staph infections can be treated with simple antibiotics. However, if left untreated it is possible for a staph infection to spread into the blood stream, heart, or lungs GIRL IN LAST PHOTO ALMOST DIED Mascara once you use the wand and stick it back in the mascara it’s contaminated with your oils and stuff. Even if you sanitize the wand you still have to put it back n tube

adriennebebow Exactly 💯! I used to be in the beauty industry, and I hate when people post swatched makeup. Happy Poshing 🤗

faithoverfear07 @adriennebebow I know and they say “makeup has been sanitized “ how do you sanitize eyeshadow, mascara, blush etc etc? You can’t? I don’t care what anyone says.

adriennebebow @faithoverfear07 exactly, you can not sanitize it. Not, would I ever sample makeup at a beauty store. Never. I had a friend year ago put lipstick on at the store, not use on her hands to test lipstick. She got herpes. She regrets it every time she gets a flare up. She had a flare up on her wedding day. People don’t realize cold sores are a form of herpes.

faithoverfear07 @adriennebebow Oh yes cold sores are. I don’t know why people would want to buy used makeup especially from someone they don’t even know. I saw someone get eye worms. You could actually see a worm swimming around in their eye. So much stuff you can get from used and swatched makeup. Warts, pink eye, skin infection. It’s disgusting 🤮

briannastull @faithoverfear07 I’m so Happy you have posted this! I see so many posts for “barely used” or “only swatched” cosmetics every day. So dangerous!!

faithoverfear07 @briannastull It’s sickening I don’t know how people can buy used makeup. It’s a joke when people say they sanitize makeup. HOW DO YOU SANITIZE MAKEUP? You can’t to me buying used makeup would be like buying used panties 🥴🤢🤮

briannastull @faithoverfear07 I have to agree. Although maybe not as bad, but I feel angry about counterfeit makeup too. I’ve seen people break out and agave eye infections. Especially when it’s made cheaply with crazy ingredients like colors and fragrances to help them look more like the expensive brands. SMH!

adriennebebow @faithoverfear07 technically you cannot sanitize mascara from what I learned in class. You can sanitize the wand, but the bacteria inside the tube with the mascara is already there.

faithoverfear07 @adriennebebow Someone was fussing over my saying you cannot sanitize makeup so I changed it. I’m going to go back to it because I still don’t believe you can sanitize it safely
