Vintage Bakelite Buttons (Pair)

A pair of gorgeous large Bakelite buttons measuring 1.5" across a,d .25" thick. Bakelite is an early form of plastic that was primarily used from the 1920s up until the 1950s. It was used to make everything from earrings and other jewelry to furniture handles, ladles and blenders. These would be lovely on a chunky knit sweater or a waist-button coat. With a little polish, they could be transformed into spectacular earrings. These are in good used condition showing normal wear for their age.
