[Jan.2o22] Amadeus is one of my rescue kitties. He's just 2 years old and has a blockage in his bladder. Currently in hospital for treatment which is costing thousands that I do not have. [July 2o22] Amadeus refused to eat this morning, not sure if he's peeing, but I'm very concerned. He's currently at his vet's office for overnight testing and observation. I'm still paying off the credit card I max'd for his ICU care at the Urgent Clinic in Janaury. ($4G!) i'm beside myself... please help if you can. Purchase one of my kitty collar treat bags, perhaps? Amadeus has been in hospital since Sun 1/23, where they put him at the top of their critical list. its now Thur 1/27. He was doing better and they removed his catheter yesterday morning but had to put it back in the evening due to complications to freely express. 24/7 care is so expensive.. .he's worth it but I honestly don't have it... digging a hole so he can continue to get the care he needs. I really appreciate all the shares! Thank you for caringπππ

I will purchase something- our kitty had this and we spent over 3 k to save our kitty a couple years ago.. he is now thriving and doing well !! Prayers for this baby tooππΌπ ours needed a PU surgery and we were able to get some help from a non profit in our area. Hope you can save him

@famousamous2021 So glad your furbaby's doing well.πππΎ Wish the best for his procedure. Ame was in hospital for 1 week.... $4,200. He's home now, on UR wet only for now. Didn't poop for the longest, he's peeing but little bits at a time. His regular vet has checked him and says his recovery is on track, no current blockage.. more meds. He'll get another urinalysis next week. Seems it's a long road, hoping to manage so he doesn't reobstruct. He's been sweet through it all.

@jessicaatkin702 π±What?? I'm not giving my furbabies away... I'm trying to raise money for his hospital bills and treatments. I have a house full of rescue kitties. Amadeus is my latest emergency. 2 years ago it was Shellybean who had cancer and needed an amputation. she's doing great today because ppl stepped up for her. takes a village, and I'm greatful for any help.

My thoughts are with you & my prayers go out to your furbaby! It is so difficult to see them have these health issues & we do everything we can for them regardless of what it takes. Please know that I have been there & understand. My Sasha, a rescue, had emergency bladder surgery at age 4; & 5 cancer surgeries starting at 6.5. She fought valiantly until the end - I said goodbye to her in Dec at 15.5. They get their strength to fight from us as their pet parents - stay strong!!

@corin1965 Thank you so muchβ£ He's doing well so far. he's on Purina UR, and I add Tinkle Tonic as well to help keep him clear. I'm terrified however, because I'm told statistically that he's likely to have another blockage at some point. As I'm still short $2K on his original ICU stay I could not afford to help him through a relapse. π He just turned 2. Trying to remain optimistic. πππΎ I love this boy!!! he is soooo sweet! Was told he was a favorite at hospital.

@violetsun3 Thank you so much for asking... Amadeus is doing well on his Rx foods&meds. Costs a fortune, but he's worth it. I just keep trying to raise funds... I've been with local rescues here in Houston for years. Unfortunately they're all struggling. Too many homeless, sick, unwanted dogs&cats here, not enough resources. We only have 2 no-kill shelters &they are busting at the seems. All other shelters have limits on how long they keep animals before putting them down 2make room for more

In California things are getting just as bad. In my area or perhaps most of the state are now no longer finding homes for adult cats that were surrendered or found and turned into the shelter. If no one claims they euthanize. And droves of folks are surrendering their pets bc they can no longer afford to feed them or pay for medical care.
