Vintage VS retro- what's the difference?!?

I have seen omg so many people using these terms wrong, so I thought I would help out some!!! the first & last jackets pictured in this thread are RETRO! retro means that it is a new garment that is modeled after an old fashion! so, for example, every one knows about the shein y2k trendy clothing being sold on their site, that stuff is all retro. it's new clothes in the style of old clothing. the two jackets pictured in the middle are VINTAGE! Vintage means clothing that is 20+ years old, so anything that was created after the year 2002 is not yet a vintage garment. THEN some people misuse the term TRUE vintage, true vintage means it is 50+ years old!
