Thanks for stopping by! My Story: I caught Covid at work a few days before Xmas 12/20. This was the first phase of the Covid, shots were not available. I entered the emergency hospital alone while my husband watched from the car. (Strict Covid rules) Woke from the induced coma a few weeks later on a ventilator and intubated. Damaged 40% of my lungs and diagnosed as Pulminary fibrosis due to Covid. I was in the hospital for 6 months. I relearned to walk, talk, eat, write, etc. During all of the craziness of suits, gloves, toilet paper shortages. I am the 1% that lived. I am so sorry 🙏 for anyone that had lost a loved one during this time. The isolation and unknown was very sad and depressing. I praise the medical staff that had to work in those conditions on a daily basis. As I returned to the living, found out I had to have a double lung transplant. Our insurance deductible was so high. We had to move out of state or get a place to stay for at least 3 months since it's not done in Louisiana. Due to my PTSD and trauma, I looked into palliative care and hospice. I didn’t want to see another hospital and burden my family. My family asked me not to give up. I still have Long Hauler Covid and live on oxygen 24/7.
