sborodach @nadineres I disagree...there are lots of other ways to tell a Gucci bag is authentic without seeing the code. Looking at the stitching is one way but you can also tell by the lettering on the Gucci tag. Their fabric also only runs a certain way whereas replicas you will see run multiple directions. I do agree seeing the date code is a great way for others identifying authenticity but it's not the only way to identify.

nadineres @sborodach while that’s true there are a lot of excellent dupes. People can even buy authentic bags and tags and put them on fake bags. So if it is authentic why not just post the date code?

scadelman @nadineres respectfully, I would be happy to post a date code. However I have no idea where this would be. I have posted everything I possibly can for pictures. Again, please refrain from posting negative comments especially if you are not interested. This is a lovely authentic Gucci purse actually bought in Italy about 10 years ago as a gift to me.

sborodach @nadineres while that is true there are a lot of good dupes out there but the issue is you stated to someone to beware that because she won't show the serial number it has to be fake. But yet you state people will take real tags and place them on fake bags which would defeat your purpose of asking for the serial number.

sborodach @nadineres Not all Gucci purses have numbers either. That is why you have to pay close attention to details like the grain of the fabric and type of fabric and other things as well. I just think you could be a little nicer about this issue and simply explain to the seller why you are requesting it and where to find it is all. 😊

sborodach @scadelman You are welcome! ❤ and to answer your question on where to find the serial number, if you flip the inside leather Gucci tag, on the back should be a serial number for the purse. 😊
