missstephlee @lynnekrn I love how you think!

lynnekrn I’m ready to discuss
Feb 20Reply
missstephlee
missstephlee What gem shapes do you prefer? And which gems/colors? What changes do you want & what do you want to keep of the design? @lynnekrn
Feb 20Reply
lynnekrn
lynnekrn @missstephlee can you do moissanite the same colors as hers?
Feb 20Reply
missstephlee
missstephlee @lynnekrn Yes, I can. 👍
Feb 20Reply
lynnekrn
lynnekrn @missstephlee can both rings be on a double row of pave moissanite stones but laid out as pictured?
Feb 20Reply
missstephlee
missstephlee @lynnekrn Do you want the two rings separate or connected in the back?
Feb 20Reply
missstephlee
missstephlee @lynnekrn Do you have a preference of stone size/ct? Hers is 6ct pears which are approx 17x10mm.
Feb 20Reply
lynnekrn
lynnekrn @missstephlee 6ct is too large for me. 2.5 or 3 tops
Feb 20Reply
lynnekrn
lynnekrn Connected in back. No thorns pls. 🤣
Feb 20Reply
missstephlee
missstephlee @lynnekrn I’m going to suggest 11x7.50 mm, which is approx 2.6ct. It’ll give an elongated pear shape as opposed to a more squat pear shape of similar size.
Feb 20Reply
missstephlee
missstephlee @lynnekrn I’ll play with it for a day or two & be back with the exacts🙂
Feb 20Reply
lynnekrn
lynnekrn @missstephlee sounds great
Feb 20Reply
missstephlee
missstephlee @lynnekrn I’ve priced this ring out & with Posh’s 20 % it would be $3000 on here for solid 14k and the two 2.6ct Pears.
Feb 21Reply
lynnekrn
lynnekrn @missstephlee I think I will have to save for that. Yesterday I woke up to no heat. They currently are putting in a new furnace. How big would the stones be? I don’t need one as big as hers is
Feb 21Reply
missstephlee
missstephlee @lynnekrn I understand. Each Pear is 2.6ct (11x7.5mm). It’s essentially 2 rings put together so it’s twice the metal/stone cost in one.
Feb 21Reply
lynnekrn
lynnekrn @missstephlee is the size gaudy?
Feb 21Reply
missstephlee
missstephlee @lynnekrn No. 7.5mm is the width of a 1.5ct round & the length of 11mm is only 3.5mm (half of the 1.5ct added to it) more which is just long enough to lengthen it to a pear shape.
Feb 21Reply
lynnekrn
lynnekrn @missstephlee that sounds better. I don’t like her band. It reminds me of scales. Got any ideas?
Feb 21Reply
missstephlee
missstephlee @lynnekrn Yes. I just added 1 idea above. There are so many ways I can change it. Tell what you like of the design & definitely want to keep/use. Is it the placement of the Pears to make a Heart or just the colors, etc...?
Feb 22Reply
missstephlee
missstephlee @lynnekrn I left the band pretty vague. I can do the band in double pave or small rectangle baguettes, etc. it was more for the color idea.
Feb 22Reply
missstephlee
missstephlee @lynnekrn I could add a thin Halo around them of contrasting color as well to make it a bit more detailed (2nd drawing)
Feb 22Reply
lynnekrn
lynnekrn @missstephlee I like the lower left corner. I wasn’t thinking of a heart. My husband died in November. Our anniversary is May 6
Feb 22Reply
lynnekrn
lynnekrn @missstephlee I love the double pave
Feb 22Reply
lynnekrn
lynnekrn @missstephlee love love the idea!

jokelat
jokelat Could you make this in your Rodium silver? What would cost be?
Mar 13Reply
missstephlee
missstephlee @lynnekrn I just added a picture of some sketches I was doing the of double stone rings. They’re just quick sketches with rough ideas of stones mostly as I wasn’t focusing on the bands yet in most. There are so many possibilities. Lmk what specifics you want. ie. stone shapes, band styles or if you want to stay more true to the Megan’s but just soften the band look a bit so not as angular.
Mar 17Reply
missstephlee
missstephlee @lynnekrn I haven’t had a chance to get back to them to add anything more yet.
Mar 17Reply
missstephlee
missstephlee @lynnekrn I uploaded a video👆🙂
Mar 21Reply
lynnekrn
lynnekrn How do you think it would look if one setting was white good and the other yellow gold?
Mar 21Reply
missstephlee
missstephlee @lynnekrn It’s a preference thing. This ring would work very well mixed with the dual sides & as you can wear them separately too. It’s just up to if you like wearing yellow gold and the color contrast.
Mar 21Reply
lynnekrn
lynnekrn @missstephlee I like white gold, yellow BBB good and just yellow. I’m not sure which would look better?
Mar 21Reply
missstephlee
missstephlee @lynnekrn I just added a couple computer pics 👆
Mar 21Reply
missstephlee
missstephlee I’m probably too picky to be the one to ask😅. My personal preference is white gold. Yellow of the gold can be reflected in the clearness of the gem & gives it a subtle yellow hue. It’s very very minor and probably only me that notices it but it’s why I always prefer white to yellow if left up to me. @lynnekrn
Mar 21Reply
lynnekrn
lynnekrn @missstephlee are both stones moissanite?
Mar 21Reply
missstephlee
missstephlee @lynnekrn yes, both Moissanite
Mar 21Reply
lynnekrn
lynnekrn @missstephlee how would the white moissanite look with green pave stones like one of your drawings had?
Mar 21Reply
missstephlee
missstephlee @lynnekrn I think that would look nice. Very yin yang feel to it
Mar 21Reply
lynnekrn
lynnekrn @missstephlee I think it would be gorgeous. Are the stones chubby and short or longer and narrow?
Mar 21Reply
missstephlee
missstephlee @lynnekrn longer, not short & chubby
Mar 21Reply
lynnekrn
lynnekrn @missstephlee I’m sure. Any idea when you might start it? I’m not trying to rush you
Mar 22Reply
missstephlee
missstephlee @lynnekrn I can start this week.
Mar 23Reply
missstephlee
missstephlee I’m looking at the green colors of Moissanite from the lab I use. The fancy colors of Moissanite are very unstable and the colors can vary from batch to batch as it’s hard to control the outcome to exact shades. I’m uploading a video of the color of the large green pear so you can see/approve/disapprove the color.
Mar 23Reply
missstephlee
missstephlee @lynnekrn Check the message above as it didn’t tag you. 👆
Mar 23Reply
missstephlee
missstephlee @lynnekrn Another 2 options are I have Emeralds in perfect shades & 3rd option is I can look around to see if another lab has any better if you don’t like the one above. I would wait to start until I can find the stones first. Let me know your thoughts.
Mar 23Reply
missstephlee
missstephlee @lynnekrn The video is the green Moissanite and the picture is the Emeralds.
Mar 23Reply
missstephlee
missstephlee @lynnekrn Just making sure you saw the messages above this one👆. No rush though.
Mar 25Reply
lynnekrn
lynnekrn @missstephlee maybe it is just me… the three stones look cloudy to me. I’m thinking it’s just me
Mar 25Reply
lynnekrn
lynnekrn @missstephlee the moissanite are very nice. Both types seem darker than the OG. Didn’t see your messages until now
Mar 25Reply
missstephlee
missstephlee @lynnekrn It’s just the picture zoomed in that blurred them. The 3 emeralds are clear & a perfect color matching what Megan Fox’s.
Mar 25Reply
missstephlee
missstephlee @lynnekrn The green Moissanite is perfect clarity/cut also but the color is a bit darker than Megan’s.
Mar 25Reply
lynnekrn
lynnekrn @missstephlee is there a price difference between the two types of stones?
Mar 26Reply
missstephlee
missstephlee @lynnekrn The emeralds are a bit more but I won’t raise your price since it’s me that doesn’t have the perfect color in the Moissanite. I want you to have the best color, especially for this ring🙂
Mar 26Reply
missstephlee
missstephlee I added some more pics of the Emerald pear too👆 @lynnekrn
Mar 26Reply
lynnekrn
lynnekrn @missstephlee if you were making it for yourself which would you use?
Mar 26Reply
missstephlee
missstephlee @lynnekrn I love Moissanite but this ring should have the most perfect color to be the stand out that it is, so I would go with the Emerald. The color is what makes this ring so great.
Mar 26Reply
lynnekrn
lynnekrn @missstephlee how would the pave stones look with the emeralds?
Mar 26Reply
missstephlee
missstephlee @lynnekrn I think the green emerald pave stones will look great. I actually love both ways though; with all white bands to make the center green pear really stand out and I love it with the band in green too bcz it gives it a yin Yang look that is spectacular too.
Mar 26Reply
missstephlee
missstephlee @lynnekrn Only thing to consider is that with the green emerald on the band going around to the bottom/palm side of hand, you wouldn’t want to be doing anything with your hands that taps the bottom side heavily as emeralds are a touch softer of a gem and it could cause them to loosen. But as long as you aren’t doing heavy hand clanging work they should be fine.
Mar 26Reply
lynnekrn
lynnekrn @missstephlee could we do the elongated green moissanite? I know it may look different but I don’t want to risk damaging it.
Mar 26Reply
missstephlee
missstephlee @lynnekrn Yes, no problem 👍
Mar 26Reply
lynnekrn
lynnekrn @missstephlee so… what’s next??
Mar 27Reply
missstephlee
missstephlee @lynnekrn Okay. I’ll make it with the green Moissanite pear and the opposite band having the small green Moissanite in size 7.25 in white gold. Bcz this one is a big project, I need a deposit to get started. I usually do half but I’ll start for $500. I’ll put the above details of the ring in a listing for purchase & get started. Then I’ll put the finished ring in a listing for the remainder of price as soon as it’s done.
Mar 27Reply
missstephlee
missstephlee @lynnekrn I tagged you in the deposit listing.
Mar 27Reply
lynnekrn
lynnekrn @missstephlee I’m confused as always… is the setting going to be thin or wide. Is the band leading to the big stones going to have any small stones? So big stones are traditional diamond like moissanite and green moissanite?
Mar 27Reply
missstephlee
missstephlee @lynnekrn The white Moissanite looks like a high grade diamond same as my other listings look. The bands have double pave rows leading to the Pears. The small diamond white Moissanite will lead to the green pear & the green double pave rows will lead to the white pear. Each band will be the width of the gold ring pic I added above which is approx 1.75-2mm; just wide enough for 2 rows of the pave stones.
Mar 27Reply
missstephlee
missstephlee @lynnekrn I’m having problems finding darker small pieces of green Moissanite for the band. They are lighter when smaller. I also added color to the rendering which is added above now.
Mar 28Reply
lynnekrn
lynnekrn @missstephlee do what is the plan? Going to go with the green stones you have or keep looking?
Mar 28Reply
missstephlee
missstephlee @lynnekrn I put up pics of the small green stones (last pics). They are a light green. I’ve got a couple people asking around for me but I’m learning the green fancy color is harder to make & get than I thought. The small sizes just don’t have enough content when little to make them a darker green. The light passes through them easily making them light in color.
Mar 28Reply
lynnekrn
lynnekrn @missstephlee should we go with the darker ones? If they are long and skinny I think it will be just as pretty— good chance nicer than hers
Mar 28Reply
missstephlee
missstephlee @lynnekrn These are the small pave band stones. I haven’t found any darker ones yet and not sure if I’ll be able to get my hands on them. I don’t think I’ll be able to do this ring with a green band. I am still looking but everyone is telling me the same thing; finding darker green stones in the small pave size I need is not likely. I have let them know that if a future batch of stones comes out in a good green color to contact me immediately but we could be waiting quite awhile.
Mar 28Reply
missstephlee
missstephlee @lynnekrn Making the fancy color Moissanites are a hit or miss in color & not controllable when making them. It’s kind of a wait & see what shade they come out as.
Mar 28Reply
missstephlee
missstephlee @lynnekrn The main center Pear shape I can get but the bands would be white & no green.
Mar 28Reply
lynnekrn
lynnekrn @missstephlee how do you think that would look- no green on the band?
Mar 28Reply
lynnekrn
lynnekrn @missstephlee if at some point you were to find the green stones could you remove the white and put them in?
Mar 28Reply
missstephlee
missstephlee @lynnekrn It would look more like Megan’s ring. It would look good but it’s a different look than with the green band. Making the fancy color Moissanites are a hit or miss in color & not controllable when making them. It’s kind of a wait & see what shade they come out as. I’ve asked & am awaiting an answer about whether waiting for darker stones is feasible and how often they actually come available. I should have a better answer by this evening.
Mar 28Reply
missstephlee
missstephlee @lynnekrn I wouldn’t pull out the small stones to replace but if the rings aren’t connected I could make a new one and swap out the one ring. But I’m not sure if/when that would happen and I don’t want you to end up with a ring that leaves you disappointed. Let me see what their answer is about waiting & I’ll let you know when I find our later this evening.
Mar 28Reply
missstephlee
missstephlee @lynnekrn The lab I work with is going to try to grow some better green Moissanite. It may take a a batch or two to get us what we need. It takes a couple months and as there is no real control of the outcome of the shade of color it may take us a couple tries. If I see some available from elsewhere come available sooner then I’ll purchase that.
Mar 30Reply
missstephlee
missstephlee @lynnekrn So minimum of 6 weeks & could be up to 5 months for the green Moissanite.
Mar 30Reply
lynnekrn
lynnekrn @missstephlee ok. I’m not going anywhere
Mar 30Reply
missstephlee
missstephlee @lynnekrn Okay, when some come out/are ready I’ll update with pics of the shade they come out.
Mar 30Reply
lynnekrn
lynnekrn @missstephlee ok. And there will be no green stones
Mar 30Reply
missstephlee
missstephlee @lynnekrn The green that has come in is dark😞. I’m asking around again to see if anyone else has any. If I get lucky I’ll let you know.
Jun 08Reply
lynnekrn
lynnekrn @missstephlee it’s a pretty green but not quite the same. Thanks for keeping me updated
