Vintage 1968-1987 Kahla Made In GDR Porcelain Madonna Design 7.5” Plate

This magnificent vintage plate 1968-1987 from Kahla was made in GDR (East Germany). Madonna design with two ladies. It has gold trim and scalloped edges. On 27 August 1844, Christian Eckhardt started the porcelain production site in Kahla with 20 employees. The factory quickly developed into a leading manufacturer, first in Thuringia and later in the whole of Germany. In 2014 the Kahla brand celebrated its 170th anniversary.
