Length across: 12.75 inches Width at sides: 4 inches Height with handle: 15.5 inches Height without handle: 10.5 inches Slimline shape that is briefcase style and a front scenic of horse and buggy, with raffia reins, metallic cord and gravel art glitter glass. This style of art was very popular in the mid 20th century and much of these scenics were sold as wall hangings. Consider this one to be carry art. The rectangular wood frame is wrapped in wicker and reed. The front of the bag is shaped with a slight curve to show off the artwork, which is displayed on woven palm. Carry is with two top bamboo handles with gold caps, The handles have been charred by fire during their creation. Closure is with a twist latch. The back of the bag is reed; each reed covered in vinyl. The bottom of the bag has four golden ball feet and stands on its own. Inside: A thin peach vinyl lining. One side has a large slot pocket edged in brown. The other side has a zippered pocket. Condition: VERY GOOD. The outside of the bag is in excellent condition with two tiny loops pilled on palm matting. FAIR: The inside lining has marks on the vinyl.
