Free People Maxi Dress / Beaded Lace & Silk Edwardian Style Gown NWT - Size 2

This is an amazing dress. A true Edwardian Style Ballgown even though it was recently produced by Free People. It is brand new with tags attached. Also has a bag of extra jet black glass beads attached if needed for repairs. Bodice is black lace applied to netting and embroidered with beads by hand. In the front the lace is overlayed on the snake print fabric. In the back the sheer net & beads are not lined & show skin. In its Edwardian way this is very provocative. It reminds me of Downton Abbey dresses. The front of the bodice & the entire skirt is lined in black silk. The skirt is made of the silk snake print & at the bottom is gored w/ inserted panels of black lace. These are scalloped at the hem. The gores are 26" deep & impart beautiful fullness & movement to the skirt making it perfect for dancing. Dress is slightly empire waisted true to Edwardian period design. Ruffles adore the armholes creating light little sleeves and framing the neckline. The glass beads sparkle. As I said above dress is lined in black silk but the entire thing is very light in feel. It is a size 2. You can Google Free People for thie size chart if you need to look at their to fit size measurements - always a good idea. Waist is 26" , Bust is 32" Bodice is approximately 15" long to waist, Skirt is an additional 42" ( floor length on a 5'6" woman in flats) Mannequin is too big for dress as she is a size 6. Dress is brand new & in perfect condition. It's a rare beauty!
