beccavaughn @dollyw this was a tricky measurement to take. you can see in these photo that the waistband tapers in at the top of the skirt. just laying flat, the narrowest part at the top is 14 inches and the wider part of the waistband is 16 inches. but since the material is very stretchy, I stretched it out along a measuring tape with both hands and it stretched out to about 18 inches.

beccavaughn The size chart says that medium fits sizes 10 to 12 best, but with this style skirt I've found that's really only accurate if you're comfortable with a body hugging fit. I'm usually a 6 to 8,but sized up to medium for a looser fitting skirt
