A note on pricing/washing/ packaging.

Hi there & thank you for being here! I just wanted to share a bit about how and why I price items the way I do. Each piece I sell is either a higher quality piece worn by me or my kids, or one that I’ve found through hours of thrifting. For each piece I thrift to sell here I go through at least 100 or more other items of clothing. It is a lot of work, and resellers are using their time to save customers from that labor! For me, it’s a labor of love, truly, but a labor nonetheless! Once I bring them home each item is washed and dried, or handwashed and dried if wool or silk. This takes time, uses electricity, etc.*(see comment below) (my home is also pet and smoke free, and free of synthetic fragrances.) Then, Poshmark takes 20% of what each item sells for! So if you buy something for $20, I make 16! If I spent $4 on an item that sells for $20, I end up making $12 after what I paid and Posh fees, not including money and time I spent to wash, dry, store, and package. All of this is to say: this is a labor of love for me, I GENUINELY love connecting people with quality secondhand clothes, it is a joy, and at the same time I want people to be mindful of what goes into selling my clothes.
